INS Residency at the DasArts Foundation, Amsterdam
The INS have been invited to take up residence at the DasArts Foundation in Amsterdam.
During the residency the INS, in accordance with Article 4, Footnote 1 of its First Manifesto, will be working with choreographers, dancers and physicists in order to reconstruct the kinetic forces and relations involved in a gun battle that took place in Amsterdam in May, 1998, resulting in the death of one of the participants. Physical sequences drawn from the original event will be performed in laboratory environments, including a wind tunnel, photographed and filmed from all angles, then subjected to a rigorous process of data-analysis. The diagrams, tables and charts thus generated will be archived and published.
